DC LEARNs Annual Literacy Recognition & Awards Event brings together many of the District of Columbia’s literacy advocates and practitioners for a celebration of great personal stories.  The stories are centered around personal achievement by remarkable individuals as well as the individuals who provide the impetus for those stories through their commitment to volunteerism.

to read to students as a volunteer every week beginning in 1997. Several Office of Inspector
General employees volunteer as mentors in the same "Power Lunch" program through
EverybodyWins!DC - When Adults Read With Children.

CNN Correspondent Brianna Keilar Will Serve as Gala Emcee

DC (EW!DC) is pleased to announce that CNN’s award-winning congressional correspondent Brianna Keilar will serve as the honorary emcee for our 16th Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.  Brianna Keilar is a long time supporter of EW!DC and has done a phenomenal job as the honorary emcee for our signature golf events.
