National Mentoring Month Recruitment Challenge
Did you know that Everybody Wins DC has almost 500 Power Lunch Reading Mentors that volunteer one hour a week to read with Power Lunch students? Did you also know that we have more than 200 students on our Power Lunch waitlist?
In recognition of January being National Mentoring Month, we’ve set a goal of recruiting 100 individuals to sign up as Reading Mentors. EWDC staff will be working hard, hosting information sessions, meeting potential Partner Organizations, and more. But we need your help to reach our goal so that we can serve even more students.
What is the Mentor Recruitment Challenge
Our first-ever Challenge is friendly competition to see which of our current Reading Mentors can recruit the most new mentors or complete the most recruitment actions before the deadline.
Find a new mentor? Get a point! Help host an information session? More points! At the end of the Challenge, the three mentors with the most points will win fabulous prizes. We will also recognize the Partner Organization with the most points.
When is the Mentor Recruitment Challenge
The Challenge will officially kick off on January 4th, national “I am a Mentor” Day and will run until January 31st, national “Thank a Mentor” Day.
