Attorney General of Washington, D.C. and longtime reading mentor, Karl Racine kicked off the Everybody Wins DC’s Story Time reading program for school year 2019. Racine, who has been a strong advocate of reading mentorship, and an instrumental figure in the growth of EWDC—serving as a board member, keynote speaker, and reading mentor throughout the years read with Power Lunch students and student ambassadors at Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School in the H street corridor of Washington D.C.
Racine read I Am Rosa Parks, discussed his role as attorney general and how it impacts the youth, his involvement with EWDC, and distributed books for students to add to their personal libraries.
