Program Coordinators, Program Year 2024-25
EWDC is hiring 4-6 part-time Program Coordinators to support Power Readers for the 2024-25 school year (September 2024 - June 2025). Power Readers is a one-on-one mentoring program that connects volunteers from the community with students to read together for one hour a week. Primary responsibilities include managing daily reading sessions, supporting general program operations, and coordinating student and mentor schedules.
The position pays $20/hour and Program Coordinators generally work between 8-16 hours per week at one or more of EWDC's program sites across the Washington Metro Area. Expected start date is early September 2024 and final weekly schedules will be determined by candidate availability and program need. Possible assignments may include:
- Thomson Elementary School (1200 L Street NW, Washington, DC)
- J.O. Wilson Elementary School (660 K Street NE, Washington, DC)
- Chisholm Elementary School (1001 G Street SE, Washington, DC)
