EWDC Celebrate!

May 12 was incredibly special for Everybody Wins DC. The outpouring of support at EWDC Celebrate! was absolutely amazing. It means more mentors for our students, more story times for our classrooms, and more books on families’ shelves.

We've have said this before and will say it again: EWDC’s success is because we have people like you in our corner. The entire team is incredibly grateful for your support and we’re looking forward to all the amazing reading experiences yet to come.

Lawyers for Literacy

Lawyers for Literacy is EWDC’s annual fundraising trivia competition for legal professionals, where firms compete for the coveted title of "Master of Literacy" all while raising critical funds for EWDC’s reading programs. This year’s competition will be held in-person by our gracious hosts, Sidley Austin on June 9 from 6-9pm 2022. Click here to download the sponsorship and registration package.

Fair warning, this isn't your ordinary trivia competition. Even your law degree(s) won't prepare you for this line of questioning, so assemble your best team.

2020 Everybody Wins DC Gala

Although we were unable to come together on March 11 for our 25th anniversary celebration, we were elated by the flexibility and overwhelming support we received during our first-ever Virtual Gala! For 2-hours supporters tweeted, posted gifs, reshared posts and sent in touching photos and videos all to support our cause. At the end of the night, we raised $300,000.

Thank you to all our supporters, sponsors, auction bidders, and donors for your contributions! This incredible support allows us to continue introducing children to the joys of reading with a caring mentor by their side.

2019 Everybody Wins DC Gala

Wednesday, April 3 from 5:30 - 9PM, Everybody Wins DC celebrated 24 years of shared reading at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

More than 400 guests joined us to celebrate our work, our honorees and to bid on more than 50 auction items! Special thank you to our Power Players, Mike and Jill Sommers for their outstanding support of Everybody Wins DC, and Peter Brusoe, the 2019 Minnon Friedman Recipient.
