Ways to Give
EWDC offers a variety of options for people to support our students and our programs. Discover the way that works best for you and start helping children thrive through reading.
Make a one-time gift to support EWDC programs and have an immediate impact on the children we serve. Every gift, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference through the power of reading.
To make a one-time gift via our website, visit the donate page.
You can also mail a check made out to "Everybody Wins DC" to the EWDC main office:
Everybody Wins DC

Washington, DC 20005
If you would like to learn about other payment options, including ACH transfer or donating through a Donor Advised Fund, please reach out to Rody Baron, EWDC Director of Development, at rbaron@everybodywinsdc.org.
As a monthly donor, you will play a direct role in advancing EWDC's mission to help children thrive through reading. Your recurring gift will have a sustained impact by providing EWDC with the resources to expand programs and connect more children with the literacy and social-emotional support they need.
To make a monthly gift, select the “monthly” option on the donate page. Just $20 a month can make a world of difference.
Donating stocks, bonds, and mutual funds is a smart and simple way to make a big impact on our programs. Publicly traded stock that has increased in value and owned for more than one year provides better tax benefits than giving cash.
- Your charitable income tax deduction will be equal to the fair market value of the stock, so you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock.
- Because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock you may also save on brokerage fees.
- Whether your stocks are held by yourself or are kept with a bank/broker, it is important that you notify EWDC in advance of making the gift. This will help to ensure that proper crediting and timely acknowledgement takes place.

Does your employer match your donations? Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to increase or even double the value of charitable contributions made by their employees. Here are a few that do: Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Bloomberg, Kirkland & Ellis, Wells Fargo & Company and BlackRock.
Not sure? Email your HR manager to find out if your employer matches charitable gifts. The paperwork takes less than 5 minutes to complete. That added step helps your favorite charitable organization receive DOUBLE or even TRIPLE the donation benefits.
