Mrs. Friedman, who at age 99 retired from mentoring, was the oldest Reading Mentor in EWDC history.
EWDC, also recognized its Power Players, Mike and Jill Sommers for their outstanding support of Everybody Wins DC. The Honorable Jill Sommers is a Director for Cboe Global Markets and a senior advisor with Patomak Global Partners. Jill is a former mentor and serves on the board for EWDC.
Mike Sommers is the President and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute (API). API has been a longstanding partner of EWDC, supporting us since our inception in 1995. This year, API will become a Power Lunch School sponsor at Tyler Elementary school. Both Mike and Jill have been consistent champions of EWDC programs.
The night was a success! Everybody Wins DC reached its gala goal thanks to our Principal, Vice Principal, Teacher, Coach, Mentor, and Student sponsor level donors and our individual donors.
