EWDC Read to Dream 2023
On March 23, over 200 guests gathered at Planet Word Museum to celebrate EWDC, our students, and our impact.
2022 CoBank Ag Open
On September 19, 2022, EWDC hosted friends and supporters from the agricultural community for our annual golf tournament, the CoBank Ag Open. Held at Westfields Golf Club, teams competed for the coveted “Katrichis Cup” all while raising funds to help children reach their potential through reading.

In addition to our CoBank as our Title Sponsor, thank you to the other major sponsors who made the event possible: Farm Credit, S-3Group, the American Petroleum Institute, National Cotton Council, and Ducks Unlimited.
EWDC Celebrate! 2022 Spring Fundraiser
On May 12, 2022, over 200 guests gathered at Planet Word Museum to celebrate EWDC, our students, and our impact. The evening raised $345,000 in support of our programs, helping us reach more than 7,000 students in school year 2021-22. Event honorees included CTIA for their long-standing commitment to service through reading and Marcus Manning of the DC Housing Authority in recognition of his work as a champion for the families and communities he serves.

2022 Lawyers for Literacy
Lawyers for Literacy is EWDC's annual fundraiser where members of the legal community battle it out over rounds of trivia, all while raising money to support critical reading programs. This year's event, hosted by Sidley Austin LLP, had 8 teams compete with Wilson Sonsini taking the top prize.
Thanks to all that participated and helped support programs that build the literacy and social-emotional skills children need to succeed.
2020 Everybody Wins DC Gala
Although we were unable to come together on March 11 for our 25th anniversary celebration, we were elated by the flexibility and overwhelming support we received during our first-ever Virtual Gala! For 2-hours supporters tweeted, posted gifs, reshared posts and sent in touching photos and videos all to support our cause. At the end of the night, we raised $300,000.
Thank you to all our supporters, sponsors, auction bidders, and donors for your contributions! This incredible support allows us to continue introducing children to the joys of reading with a caring mentor by their side.
2019 Everybody Wins DC Gala
Wednesday, April 3 from 5:30 - 9PM, Everybody Wins DC celebrated 24 years of shared reading at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
More than 400 guests joined us to celebrate our work, our honorees and to bid on more than 50 auction items! Special thank you to our Power Players, Mike and Jill Sommers for their outstanding support of Everybody Wins DC, and Peter Brusoe, the 2019 Minnon Friedman Recipient.
