EWDC visited partner school Ludlow-Taylor Elementary on March 17th for a free book giveaway to students. Nearly 100 kids attended to pick out new, free books to take home, and even though the much-requested Dog Man books went quickly, every student found a new book to enjoy. EWDC provided over 300 diverse, engaging, and new books were donated to the school for this giveaway and future use.
One student exclaimed “I’m gonna bring this book everywhere I go!” when he picked out his new Magic Tree House book, and several showed up in their best Saint Patrick’s Day gear to celebrate the special occasion. Thank you to our partners at Ludlow-Taylor, including librarian Ms. Burton, for helping us to coordinate this wonderful giveaway and provide free books to students in the Ward 6 community.
